Recovery & Resilience Strategist for Survivorship
Jessica A. Connell, LCSW, CPC, CEC, is a psychotherapist, executive coach, and mental health advocate dedicated to helping individuals reclaim their lives following illness, trauma, caregiving challenges, cancer treatment, and other significant life disruptions.
Throughout her career, Jessica has focused on the often-overlooked emotional side of recovery—the process of rebuilding confidence, restoring identity, strengthening resilience, and rediscovering purpose after adversity. She believes that healing extends far beyond physical recovery and that true rehabilitation includes emotional wellness, self-awareness, meaningful connection, and the restoration of quality of life.
Working with cancer survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and individuals navigating major life transitions, Jessica helps people move
beyond survival mode and into a renewed sense of possibility. Her approach combines clinical expertise, coaching strategies, and compassionate guidance to help individuals process difficult experiences, overcome emotional barriers, rebuild self-esteem, and reconnect with the person they aspire to become.
Jessica’s work is particularly valuable for those facing the psychological impact of chronic illness, cancer survivorship, medical trauma, caregiver fatigue, burnout, grief, loss, and life-altering diagnoses. Through psychotherapy, coaching, and educational programs, she empowers individuals to cultivate resilience, adapt to change, and create meaningful lives beyond their health challenges.
Before entering the mental health profession, Jessica worked in corporate investment banking, giving her unique insight into the pressures faced by professionals, caregivers, patients, and families balancing recovery with the demands of everyday life. This perspective allows her to bridge the gap between clinical psychology and real-world healing.
As a recognized advocate for survivorship and restorative mental health, Jessica has been honored with the Caregiver’s Guide Award from the AngioInstitute and the Survivorship Empowerment Award from the NY Cancer Resource Alliance for her commitment to supporting individuals and families throughout the recovery journey.
Today, Jessica’s mission is to help individuals not merely recover, but rediscover themselves—to transform adversity into growth, reclaim confidence, and build a life defined not by diagnosis or circumstance, but by resilience, purpose, and possibility.
