My name is Vance Stacks, Jr. and I am a breast cancer survivor! I am a 3x male breast cancer survivor! I am a son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, a father, a grandfather, cousin, a friend, and a mentor.
I am a native Memphian and graduated from Central High School in Memphis, TN. I enjoy speaking and sharing about my life experiences, cruising, being out in nature and giving back to my community.
In 2013 I received my first cancer diagnoses and in April 2013, I had a mastectomy. After enjoying 6years of remission, in October 2019, I started feeling lethargic at a family reunion; I had my 2nd surgery along with 27 rounds chemotherapy in April 2020. In December 2020, during my 6-month check-up the cancer was back, and I had my 3rd surgery and 32 rounds radiation in January 2021.As of April 29, 2021, I am Cancer Free!
Had another scare November 2021 but the biopsy came back all clear of cancer!!
I’ve dedicated my life to letting men and woman know that men are vulnerable to this disease. I started my non-profit
“Pink Ain’t Whatcha Think!” We have several tiers that we offer to the community.
We have Blankets of Love” and we have given out over 1,100 blankets and snacks to cancer patients at the West Cancer Center. Every appointment that I attended I took at least 20 blankets to give to each of my fellow cancer fighters receiving chemotherapy. It is a very cold time and can be scary, the blankets and snacks offer a sense of normalcy and comfort. Pink Ain’t Whatcha Think wants to make a cancer patient that has received a terminal diagnosis ultimate wish come true. We also want to offer direct cremation for those that can’t afford final funeral services.
We here at Pink Ain’t Whatcha Think need your help and support to make dream and wishes for cancer patient come true. To help spread the word that Men Get Breast Cancer Too! Thank you for your contributions. We 501c3 compliant and your contribution are tax deductible.
