President
Rod is the founder and owner of Creative Publishing Services in Sydney, Australia, and is an experienced writer, copywriter, and book and internet publisher. He has an excellent working knowledge of associated publicity and marketing practices that promote print and digital products in online and offline marketplaces. Rod was diagnosed with Stage IIIB breast cancer in 2014 and was treated with chemotherapy, mastectomy and radiation. Two years later, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and had a prostatectomy. He is currently “NED” (no evidence of disease) for both cancers.
A regular poster on Twitter @malefitness, Rod contributes to various closed breast and prostate cancer Facebook pages, writes articles, and creates videos. His informative website, MaleBC.org, a compilation of the latest diagnoses, treatment and research (including links) on breast cancer in men, includes a Manifesto aimed at securing some basic equivalence for men diagnosed with and treated for this disease. He is a graduate of the NBCC Project LEAD patient advocacy course, which trains advocates to be better equipped to critically examine scientific reports and technical papers, and was awarded a scholarship to attend the 2019 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. He is a profoundly dedicated breast cancer patient activist, and the MBCGA is grateful for his commitment to our organization as Board President and as the editor of the men’s stories that appear on this website.
